The 13.5" MPX carbon fiber handguard, are made from Aerospace quality carbon fiber. The handguard employs the MPX retention pin for mounting the lower portion of the handguard to the front take down pin. A left and right CNC machined 7075 hardcoated aluminum rail attaches to the carbon fiber tube with fasteners to give a solid mount feel when the handguard is attached to the upper receiver.
The hanguard has M-Lok every 45 Degrees for a positive grip and for your finger and barrier stops. Also the round tube has a more natural feel than the production and competitors part.
NOTE REGARDING SIG MPX UPPER RECEIVERS- Not all CNC machined parts are identical. Every part has a machining tolerance. From batch to batch of uppers there may be slight differences. We hand assemble every handguard for the MPX on a GEN 2 upper and it will have a snug fit when it leaves our shop. We have seen issues with rail slots being a little tight a the area under the rail vary slightly. Use a good quality grease on a cue tip in the rail slot of the upper, this will help installation and removal.
